Remembering Barbara Finch

Family and friends are mourning the sudden, unexpected death of former Newfoundland breeder and AKC judge Barbara Finch. She was 79 years old. Barbara judged the AKC Working Group, and had judged in several countries including Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. She also judged her breed at Westminster and at one Newfoundland National. Barbara was a member of the North Georgia Working Group Assoc. and a member of the Newfoundland Club of America for decades, serving in a variety of positions.

Barbara leaves behind a son and a daughter, 6 beloved grandchildren, a new great-grandchild, and many friends who will miss daily phone calls and “talking dogs”. A celebration of life will be held later in September in Griffin, Georgia.

The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to Barbara’s family, friends and the dog show community following her passing. She will be missed.
