The Salmon Run Cluster in Oregon hosted several seminars and a round table discussion as a part of the Pure Dog Talk University. This was a wonderful event! Much spirited discussion took place among the various groups of the dog fancy.

Companion Minnesota bills, House File 3157 and Senate File 2646, seek to make it a crime to misrepresent a dog as a service animal or a service animal in training. First violations would qualify as petty misdemeanors with fines up to $100. Second or subsequent violations would qualify as misdemeanors with 30 hours of community service for an organization that serves individuals with disabilities and fines up to $1,000 and/or up to 90 days’ jail time.

I understand Ralph Lemcke has retired from judging, with his last assignment being at the Indianapolis shows (his home town) the weekend before Westminster. Ralph was always a true gentleman to show to and he will be sincerely missed in the center of the ring. Best wishes for a future of health and happiness my friend.
