The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF)  has extended their matched funding opportunity for the 2018 Hemangiosarcoma Research Initiative. To date, the American Kennel Club (AKC) has matched $250,000 in donations made to CHF’s Hemangiosarcoma Research Initiative. Sadly, our sport lost two icons this past week. Elaine Mathis recently passed away. Elaine judged the Sporting, Hound, Terrier, Toy and Non-Sporting groups as well as Best In Show. She and her husband, LaMar, bred Cocker Spaniels under the LaMar prefix. Elaine was a member of the American Spaniel Club Hall of Fame.
