Pets can now send a text message to their owners when they’re too hot or cold thanks to AnimAlarm from the UK.

Following its success in the UK, the first portable temperature alarm with cellphone technology for pets is launching in the US.

With more than 35 per cent of children aged 10-11 owning a cellphone, it’s only natural that pets should have access to better communication too. Thanks to AnimAlarm, pets are now being brought into line with the rest of the family.

As pets can’t tell you when they’re uncomfortable, AnimAlarm lets you know via text message when they’re too hot or cold. When the temperature reaches either an upper or lower limit the device automatically sends an alert so you can quickly cool your pet down with a wet t-shirt or warm them up with a cozy coat. You can also call or send a text to the device at any time to get a current reading.
