B is easily the winner. The others lack proper shape, feet, and condition. B could use better foot length, but has sufficient pad as opposed to the flat feet of the others. B could use a stronger underjaw or tighter flew, but the others could too. None of them have great shoulders or set, but B has the best of the group. The rear on A appears sickle and C's rear is weedy with too high hocks. The rear on B is nicely muscled and properly angled. Earset on A is too low and is fine on B and C. Legs are too short on A, proportional on B and C.

So. B, C, A.

1st - B
2nd C
3rd - withheld
Both B & C and not stood correctly. The feet should be under the pelvis. However bitch B is balanced in that she has the correct height to length ratio. Nice head with correct ear placement. Good neck running into good lay of shoulder. Powerful balanced hindquarters. Body well ribbed back and good depth to the brisket with a good tuck up to a strong looking loin. The pasterns show strength and the feet are well knuckled.
Bitch C: Nice head with correct ear placement. Would prefer more lay back to the shoulder to give a clean line from neck into shoulder. Good length of back with depth to brisket. Would prefer more length to the pelvic bone which would give more strength to the first thigh. Second thigh too long. Would also prefer more strength to the pasterns. The feet have no arch to the toe which would indicate insufficient padding to the foot and would therefore prevent the foot performing it's function - the carry the dog across various types of terrain in pursuit of game.
Withheld from A because it's a photoshopped photo of a male.

AKC Breeder judge, 46 years in the sport, top breeder, I have judged the SCOA National Specialty.

B. Nice, Strong, Moderate Saluki. Nicely balanced head with a slight stop and good features. Strong neck that fits into the top line well. Good shoulder that flows into a strong back and loin with a correctly angled croup and good tail set. The front is balanced and set well into the frame. The elbow comes to the point of the chest, there is length between the elbow and pastern, and tuck up is fine. ( I prefer more on my bitches. I also prefer a little better angled shoulder that makes the top line even smoother ) The hind quarter is strong with an equal upper and lower thigh. Notice the width in the lower thigh. The hock is fine, ( I prefer a little lower hock) the feet are good. In good muscle and I could do with a tad more weight. An over all quality Saluki. C. This dog is too straight in the front assembly and set somewhat forward. The neck looks a tad weak. The rear appears a bit too much because of the straightness and set of the front. This dog also appears to slightly dip in the middle due to the front assembly. A. This is a caricature. The head has NO stop and so is a wedge... The neck is weak and goes into a straight shoulder. The upper arm may be longer. This dog dips in the top line because of the imbalanced front and straight shoulder. The rear is over angled. The Saluki is a hunting hound that is strong, moderate and balanced. It is a an endurance hound capable of great speed over many kinds of terrain. Faults in the Saluki today are straight fronts, straight fronts set forward, over done hind quarters and exaggerations.

I would put B at first place. She’s ok, have a little to plain topline and looks a little heavy in the front, but she still looks like she can run.

?When it comes to A and C, I guess that I would have C at second place only because it seems to be in better condition. They both have sloping toplines, and a saluki should not(!) have that. They both looks heavy too. I think that the neck and head seems to be better at A than C, but C has better angulations. In my eyes, none of them looks like good hunters, and the only thing a saluki should be is an execellt hunter, that’s why this breed exists.

B,A,C. B, nice topline, good forechest, moderate. A, hard to see topline at this angle, seems heavy in the shoulders with shorter neck. C, poor topline, overdone rear

first place B..most correct, square with correct topline and moderate, good rib cage and tuck up..could have better layback of shoulder.
second place A good front with fill, a little too long in body and topline looks weaker with slightly too much rear angulation and underline is not tucked up looks like lacks muscle.
third place C. too straight in shoulders, topline should be level or even higher in rear than front, slightly too long, with a weaker topline and underline..looks like not muscled.
